Stuart Bainbridge is returning to WA, we believe Stuart will be in the Vic Park Reds side for the all important game against the Doubleview PowerHouse on Saturday. No doubt this is very good news for the Reds to gain a player of this quality at this stage of the season.
Stuart left to go to Qld about 14 months ago and what a marvelous 14 months it has been for him, he was in the thick of the action in most events he entered. He also enjoyed tremendous success winning a trip to the PBA in England where he aquitted himself so very well.
He was also a member of the powerful Helensvale Hawks top pennant side playing as a two
Stuart's arrival will boost the Reds no end in their attempt to win the Premiership this season.
welcome back Stuart Bainbridge

Rumour has it that things are not looking good down at the Hilton at the moment. Two skips have pulled the pin, well one, Daniel Wood is looking to take a break for the two remaining games before Xmas and perhaps return in the new year, the other, Adam Hayward has quit for the remainder of the season...
That is not quite the thing to help the Hawks to win a promotion to the Premier League, the club has done well so far to be in 5th place and the opportunity remains for the Hawks to overcome these problems one way or the other
Good news is Travis Simpson a very talented player is making a return to the side and boy do they need him back and playing his best bowls to help the Hawks push for that finals spot that beckons.

November 8, 2010
Mosman Pk Premier League player Radd Anderson has been snapped up by the very progressive Armadale Bowling Club to play for them this season and also to take over the Green Keeper duties.
This a great signature to have on the books for Armadale who are looking to win promotion to One Blue, Radd played a magnificent game in the second spot in the losing Premier League Grand Final for Mosman Pk, he certainly done all he could in that game
to get Mosman across the line.
The Big Whale up that way is a go getter and congrats for being on the ball to get a player of this cailbre to the club
Ken.
November 4, 2010
Another front end player could be heading to Victoria Pk, the rumour is Peter Turpin a Yokine Doggie leader could become a Red.
Of coures this is only a rumour, but interesting to note that Peter did not make the Doggies top side to play Wanneroo this Saturday. We will wait and see if this rumour has any legs.
November 2, 2010
Graham White, has left Morley and has returned to Wanneroo where he was a Premiership player in 2006. A big loss for Morley at this late stage of the year.
It will be very hard to break into
the Wanneroo Premier League but Wanneroo do have two other 1st divisions sides and one might think he could get a game in one of them
November 1, 2010
Word is buzzing all over the place that Blake Heldt will join the Vic Park Reds, They are after front end players, Blake Heldt has signed to play with DV this season, he is unlikely to get a place in their top side any time soon.
If I were Blake
and this opportunity came along I would grab it with both hands. He is a better player than we might like to think and can play a good leads game, having shown so in the past.
If Victoria Pk can secure Blake's signature it will go along way toward their campaigne to win a flag.
I guess we will now have to abandon the call that the VP front end is not quite up to scratch and say it is on par with many other Premier League sides.
October 29, 2010
More good news for Yokine with their latest recruit Dillan Elliot now on the books. There is a lot of upside with young Elliot who at the age of 18 has the potential to go a long way in the game.
Dillan leaves Kalamunda on very good terms, Travelling in heavy traffic to get to Kalamunda makes it difficult and has chosen to play much closer to home.
The Doggies have now gained four good players over the past fortnight and are improving their list and competitiveness and also the chance of avoiding relegation.
.
October 28, 2010
The Doggies are out and about trying to build their list after the big player losses from last season.
Two new players to join the club are our very good sponsor Erron Martin and Mick Marovic, they join Rick Eddy who signed last week.
because we have no idea of the available playing list it is hard to say where or what position these two player will be filling. However they are both good players who can make Yokine a more competitive sixteen.
October 27, 2010
Word has spread fast that Jon Sharp and son Ashley are Cambridge bound. He will be available to play about 13 game so says our source. It might be that Ashley will get a game in the top side.
If what we are being told is correct then Cambridge will be a different side to what we have described in our preview of the Clubs so far.
There is now a ray of hope to make the finals with Jon at the club, this combined with former State skip Pieter Harris resuming his role of skippering a rink is about as good as the news can get for Cambridge.
Jon Sharp previously played with Cambridge some years back, work committments saw him return to the country. He then returned to the Premier League and played with Melville for 2 years, then transferred to Doubleview for 1 season , then once again another move to the country at the end of 2008.
He was best player for W.A in the 2008
sides series when WA did well, that was the last year he represented the State.
October 27, 2010
After having joined Vic Park earlier in the year both Adam Hayward and Shaun Donohoe have changed their plans, Adam citing distance from his home as his biggest hurdle. Shaun has apparently gone to play for Quinns Rock, which is very close to where he lives.
October 27, 2010
One of the late movers is Chris McKenna who played 3rd for the Jones Boy and did a good job of it has left Cambridge which is unfortunate for them as he was coming along nicely and building his game to a new level.
We think he is heading to Mosman Pk which is very close to where he lives.
October 27, 2010
We are hearing there might be a couple of Vic Park players
who might not play this season after having joined the club earlier this year, it is only rumours at this stage.
Also we have heard that a Morley player might not line up for the new season, these are only rumours at this stage.
October 23, 2010
Nth Beach have recruited one of their former players back to the club to play for them this season.
Wanneroo player Derek Bowen has departed the Club and will skipper a NB rink, this is a timely move as far as Nth Beach is concerned after having lost two long time skippers over the past week .
FACT October 20, 2010
Merv Potter has been at North Beach for many
years is returning to Cambridge this season. Merv who played in 1 white and
was a very successful skipper in First div Blue for many years also won bowler of the year last season.
Brian Werndly won bowler of the year at North
Beach in 2007/8 and 2008/9 and has skipped in first
div Blue for many years is another who will be transfering and going to the Sorrento
Bowling Club. This could be handy for the seaside Club as Sorrento have lost two skippers recently.
FACT
October 19, 2010 The Yokine Doggies have signed up Rick Eddy who played for the Kalamunda Tigers over the past several years. The former State Pairs Champ, a title he won with Laurie Slater in 1994 will be very good signature for the Doggies to have, When Gosnells were in their golden period Rick was one of their most essential players.
In recent times Rick Eddy won the Yokine "Box" Allstars in 2008, with $3000.00 to the winningg side.
last time I was able to see him play was against Osborne Pk and he still knew where the jack was. Perhaps his best value would be to take on a skippers role at Yokine where his experience would be valuable as the club faces what appears to be certain demotion at seasons end, lets hope for the Doggies that is not the case and maybe Rick Eddy might play a part to help avoid it happening.
FACT
October 14, 2010
The Armadale storm have now topped up their playing list with some very handy players
Andrew Hay-Hendry Keith Shean Dean Calvo Dave Newton and Daniel Newton.
All very good players with Gosnells last year and while all may not start in the top side they will add great depth to a already strong 2 nd Division
Another player that may join the club is a ex Victorian top league city based player that has just moved into the area and may just be about to sign on the dotted line
No Name at this stage

FACT
A done deal for Osborne Pk when Wayne Coffee who was sounded out by two other clubs, Stirling and Vic Park and a further offer from Bedford stuck by his original decision to join the Saints this season. The "Beeenz man" as he often referred to will help to take the pressure off OP who while losing 3 or 4 top players have gained 3/4 very solid players in Steve O`Neil, Pat Caffell and now Wayne Coffee, there are others in the mix so we can't discount them , we will see what eventuates as the season progress's.
We would presume Beenz will play lead but of course that might not be neccessarily so as he could play further up the line, time will tell where OP will use him, what ever position he plays he will be value ++++++.
FACT October 8, 2010
Gary Carberry has transferred to the Kwinana Klippers and will be playing part time for the Club.
With their first child on the way and the club just a 5 minutes drive from the club it will be very handy for Gary to be close at hand.
Gary Carberry has shown in the past what a good player he has been, a State Singles title, Champion of Club Singles Champ, State Fours runner up and a State representative.
No doubt Gary will be able to add a lot of experience and skill in the Klippers push to get a first division.
FACT
October 5, 2010
More bad news for Osborne Park Saints, top class 3rd Ian Payne has informed the club he will not be available to play at the start of the season . It is not known if he will be available at all at any stage of the season. He is such a valuable player the loss will be huge, the chemistry between he and John Goddard was one of those great backend combinations that don't come along very often.
Ian Payne has been one of the most consistent players over the past six years, especially playing as a 3rd, Ian has played such a valuable role within the 16 that has helped produce two Premierships and a National Premier League title.
He has never recieved recognition from State selectors over the past few years and one has to wonder why it is the case, there would be many an opponent who would wonder the same thing. They don't come much better or more committed than Ian Payne
The loss (at this stage) of Ian Payne combined with the departure of David Rankin and Scott Edmonds
has taken everybody by surprise and one that will take a toll on the playing strength of the Saints this season.
More news on
the Osborne Pk front is we reported Wayne Coffee was signed sealed and delivered to play for the Saints this coming season, well that it now appears to be no certainty to take place.
There are two other clubs hot on the trail to sign the "Beenz man", Stirling and Victoria Pk are in the mix, who ever gets his signature will get great value from him. We will have to wait and see what developes from here onward
FACT
October 4, 2010
Well known Northam Bowler Keith Strahan will play for Toodyay this coming season. Toodyay has been in the news a lot because of the devastating bush fire that ripped thru the district.
Also they also been in the news in the past six months because one of their local bowlers Ashley Grundy, played in the final of the Champion of Club Champion singles against John Goddard at Yokine.Another who plays in the district is
the well known James Jaworski.
Keith, a very experienced bowler has been a bit of a journeyman over his bowling life will be a good addition to Toodyay Club.
FACT
October 1, 2010
Mark Pasalich will rejoin Stirling Bowling Club for the coming season. Mark leaves Sth Perth on good terms and is grateful for the opportunity they gave him to skipper a rink in the Premier League. He had nothing but praise for the Club and its members and the friendliness shown to him and wishes them well in the coming season.
This move was bought about by Mark living so very close to the Stirling Club
that combined with the traffic problems that seems to be ever growing and getting worse.
Stirling will have some decisions to make in the skippering dept. as that is the position Mark plays best.
It also possible that Cockburn player Sam Perica will also join Stirling tho it is not official at this stage
FACT
September 20, 2010
The Kalamunda Tigers have snared a country player Vic Orchard, Vic has skippered a Country League zone side in the past and comes to Kalamunda highly recommended. Vic will be accompanied by his son Chris who is age 19. Kalmunda have beefed up somewhat with the addition of Simon Alden, Wayne Heldt and now Vic Orchard to their ranks can look forward to hopefully a productive season.
September 17, 2010
Mosman Park have two new recruits signed up and ready to go for the new season which is almost upon us
Gary Papadapalous
a former Doubleview player with vast experience having played some 350 games of Premier League will play down at Mozzies this coming season, at his best he is a very competitive player and could add some grunt to the front end.
A player from Victoria, Gary Robertson has signed up. We know nothing of Gary other than He hails from the Werribee Bowling Club, the talk at this stage is Gary will probably slot in as a second to start with.
September 15, 2010
We have heard that Hugh McKay will definetly play for the Armadale Storms this coming season. There was talk at one stage that he would be playing elsewhere.
A big loss to Gosnells One Blue Sth no doubt
who have lost quite a few players to Armadale.
Jim Mckenzie and Hugh Mckay will almost certainly add to Armadales chances of winning promotion to One Blue Sth this season.
Gosnells do face a huge challenge to remain in One Blue Sth after hanging in there to avoid demotion for the past two seasons, they appeared to be on the cusp of doing well enough to challenge for promotion this season till they lost these players.
Still, you never know what might happen, lets hope Gosnells do well and stay in 1st division
August 26, 2010
Luke Richardson is not going to Play for Eaton, The first he heard of it was reading this rumours page Luke got in touch to say it was not so and he has no idea how such a rumour could have been started.
He is very happy where he is and asked me to correct the misinformation.
Ah well, we did get this rumour from a very reliable source who plays down in Bunbury
and took it for granted that the info was good.
August 25, 2010
We have been informed that Cockburn leader Steve West will be playing for Mosman this season, if it is true then it is another loss for Cockburn having lost Kieren Cousins who joined the Hilton Hawks recently .
We have heard unconfirmed information that there could be others who could be on the move from Cockburn, if that is the case Cockburn could battle to survive in one White, we will keep an ear to the ground to see what eventuates
Last seasons runner up for the flag Mosman have lost two key players but the possible return of Lester Mortimer and now Steve West who is a pretty handy leader joining the club will help to keep the side competitive in their endeavours to make the top four
August 24, 2010
We have been hearing that Mosman Park ace Matt Ellul might not be playing for the Club this coming season.
Originally it was reported that Matt was going to lineup for the Mozzies but there was a change of circumstance
regarding employment that will keep him in Queensland. Tho I have not been able to confirm that is entirely the case
If what we are hearing is correct it will have a huge impact on their hopes of winning the premiership this year.
Previously from Victoria, in his two seasons here he was the 2nd best performed skip in 2008-9 one and 3rd best performed skip in 2009-10. Matt was also was runner up last January in the State Fours in a game of the highest quality, and runner up in the State Triples in 2009. The record speaks for it self regarding his ability playing as a skipper.
The loss of Matt and Robert Paxton will be to big a hurdle to overcome for the Mosman Park Mozzies to win the flag in the upcoming season which is a sad position for the Club to find themselves in after their magnificent performance to be runner up in the Grand final to Osborne Pk Saints last season.
The Premier League will be the poorer with these two fine players not available for 2010-11
August 21, 2010
Hilton Park Hawks have signed up Kieren Cousins for the new season, they won promotion to One White last season after finishing on top of the One Blue Sth division were runners up to Bedford in the One Blue playoff for the Blue pennant last season . This signing will help the Hawks to overcome the loss of Adam Hayward who has transferred to play with Vic Park in the Premier League.
Kieran will bolster the hopes of the Hawks to win further promotion but we can't be sure of what position Kieran would fill, Skip or 3rd, he gained a lot of confidence playing skip at Cockburn toward the end of last season playing Premier League for Cockburn.
He also showed up in the Champ of Champ Singles a couple of years back to underline his ability.
Robby Hunter is another to play at the Hilton and making a return is Steve Novak.
It will be interesting to see how the Hawks handle playing in One White, on paper they look good after gaining some pretty handy recruits last season which played a big role in winning the promotion. Over the years the Hawks have been in and out of this division, will this be the year they win promotion to the Premier League?
August 20, 2010
The Dalkeith Silvertails One White side have lost one of their best players, Luke Richardson has joined the strong Eaton Bowling Club down in the Bunbury area. No doubt this is a huge loss for Dalkeith who finished 6th to just avoid demotion to One Blue.
While things could be a bit gloomy for the Silvertails who can ill afford the loss of such a player as Luke it is a very good gain for the powerful Eaton Club.
Luke has skippered for Dalkeith when they were in the Premeir League and in recent times One White, perhaps Luke's greatest achievement so far was runner up in the State Singles to AP back in January this year.
It looks like Eaton will have a club of State events runner ups playing for them this season (tho I am not sure if they all came from Eaton)
because they also have Darren Kellond, Ian Cartledge and Rob Bowron (while playing for Yokine) who were State Triples runner up to Rooster Wishart also back in January this year.
August 19, 2010
Yokine Doggies Leader Wayne Coffee has left the Doggies and joined the Osborne Pk Saints so we have heard.
Wayne "Beenz" Coffee is a talented top class leader who doesn't get beaten in the leaders role often. He is a very likeable and very dedicated player who would get a leaders role in any of the top Premier League Clubs
. Certainly a great signature for the Saints who will be on a winner with his arrival to their Club
This is another huge blow to the Yokine Doggies who have suffered a huge player drain which included some of the best players in WA.
The Country players Rob Bowron, Darren Kellond and Ian Cartledge are not coming up this season and will stay in Bunbury, Lee Farrell, another Country player, Rocket Heaton, and Russell Hughes are others to leave which has left a gaping hole in the Yokine lineup this for this coming season to almost guarantee demotion.
August 18, 2010
Rocket Heaton is a definite starter with the PowerHouse this season. It was not clear that he had fully committed to play with them until this past week.
The Rocket recently suffered an archillies tendon injury playing basketball, it is unclear whether it will have an effect on what position he will play, some are suggesting he will lead so he can sit down after he has played his bowls, normally one would think he would play skip at Doubleview, it would be a waste if he wasn't.
The Rocket showed brilliant form last season, so much so that Sherro had him pencilled in to skip a rink for the State side tho it did not eventuate.
August 17, 2010
We have recieved information telling us Alan Marsh is heading back to play with Wanneroo after having agreed to play with Vic Park this season. We have also recieved more info to tell us this is not correct and Alan will play at Vic Park.
Not sure how the message got around that Alan was
on his way back to Wanneroo but he told a close source he was staying with VP
August 10, 2010
Bad news for Mosman Park, Robert Paxton will not be available to play for the Club this season. Robert certainly showed a touch of class last season when he played a great game in his duel with Gary Caffell in the Grand Final against O. P
However it is not all bad news we are hearing that Matt Ellul will be available to play this season and there is also a chance that Lester Mortimer could return to the fold.
Lester is a quality player who has good track record playing skip at Mosman Park.
August 9, 2010
MIDLAND MORRISON SIGN SOME EXPERIENCE
Vic Park Reds player Erron Martin has signed with his hometown Club Midland Morrison who won promotion from One Blue to One White for this coming season.
Erron brings to the club a great deal of experience having played at the top level in many Premier League games for Vic Park and Kalamunda. A possible skippers role could be on the cards here for Erron. He has a good stat sheet showing as 13 wins 9 losses 1 draw +113 shots up, over two seasons when he last skippered at VP
Erron showed his ability recently over on the Gold Coast when he teamed up with Stuart Bainbridge to make the last 8 of the Winter Pairs in a quality field.
There could be another experienced player who might join the club as they prepare for the challenge of retaining their hard won promotion or gaining a possible promotion to the Premier League
August 6, 2010
Every now and then we do get the wrong info! We said Steve Sloan was signed up to play with Osborne Park, we are hearing this is not the case. So we do say sorry to Steve and we hope to do better in future.
August 6, 2010
The Bedford Bulls, last seasons Premiers in One Blue North, and winner of the 2010 One Blue division pennant when they defeated One Blue South Premiers the Hilton Park Hawkes making it a memorable season for the Bulls.
The Club have gained another handy recruit, Gordon Gray who played for the Bayswater Wolves for the last couple of seasons has joined the Club.
It is good news for the Bulls who have gone through plenty of highs and lows over the past 3 seasons with many players leaving the club following their demotion from the Premier League after playing in it for 27 years. Worse was to follow for the Bulls when the player drain continued on following demotion from One White
in the next season to One Blue North.
The club went from Premier League to One Blue North in two seasons.
The return of some players who had left and a recruit or two, played a major part in helping the Bulls stabilise and return to One White followed. The challenge now is whether or not the Club can stay there or even go further and win promotion to the Premier League
The Bulls have lost Vaughan Colley to Stirling but the recruitment of Gordon Gray will help to even that loss up one would think.
Go the Bulls for season 2010-11
August 5, 2010
More good news for Wanneroo, Stein Davies will remain at the Club for the up coming season. Stein has been the best performed skip over the past two season at Wanneroo and also the 9th best performed overall in the Premier League with 11 wins 6 losses and a draw with a + 57 last season, he and his rink led the way forward for Wanneroo to give the side a good chance top make the finals.
There were plenty of rumours floating around earlier in the year that he would be playing at another Club or staying at home in Corregin
The decision by Stein to stay at Wanneroo this season will greatly enhanced their chances to make the finals. Had he not been available there is no doubt it would have been a body blow to the top 16 at Wanneroo and also for the health of the Premier League competition where we see players gravitating to play in the top sides. One can be sure that players such as Stein Davies will provide a contest to the top sides, Wanneroo could ill afford to lose a player of his calibre.
There will be a new look at Wanneroo bringing an exciting future to the club as we see the likes of Wayne Neilson a very experienced skip crossing from Morley, the very promising Mike Murray, a young player who stood out in his first season playing 3rd has shown he is ready for a crack at the skippers role. David Von Horn from Gingin will also be more than handy for the Express.
August 4, 2010
Osborne Park Saints have signed Steve Sloan who last played with the Yokine Doggies in 2008-9, he played as a two for Rocket Heaton
however he didn't play in the City last season.
Osborne Pk are building a good list with several players joining the 2010 Premier League Premiership club. Once again it will be interesting to see who lines up in the top 16 at the start of season.
There are two certain vacancies with the departure of skipper David Rankin and Scott Edmonds who will play for Doubleview this season.
Pat Caffell has completed his around Australia trip and will be available to play and one would think he will play in his favourite position as a third in the top side.
Will the axe fall on a couple of the winning Grand final side players? Interesting times lay ahead
August 4, 2010
It would seem that Wayne Heldt has joined Kalamunda for the new season, there has been plenty of talk around the place that he has made the move.
Another we have heard is Milan Jokic is also lined up to play in the Hills Club this season, that makes it three new players for the Tigers
How the rinks line up will be interesting, Simon Alden, Wayne Heldt will either skip or play three while Milan might or might not make the top 16, we will have to wait and see what the go is when the season kicks off
.
August 3, 2010
Kardinya's Mike Trojak has returned to play on the green green grass of home at Mills Park,. Mike played at Sth Perth in 2008/9 and Kardinya 2009/10 will probably always remember season 2008/9 when he played as a two in the second best performed rink of the pennant season along with Matt Ellul, Frank Carbone and Merv Hughes when they won 14 games in the home and away season.
Kardinya have now lost two players that we are aware of from last seasons list, the other Blake Heldt.
The $64 question is, are there other players who might not be with the Kardy Kats next season.
It is only a rumour, there has been talk going around the clubs that the Kalamunda Tigers, who returned to the Premier League
for this coming season might be gaining a Kardy Kat, the rumour is that Wayne Heldt is that player, however we stress that it is only a rumour but that is what is being talked about in the bowling world.
August 2, 2010
More good news for Wanneroo as they sign up another top player.
Darren Turra from the Victorian Club Geelong West
Bowling Club has signed up for the 2010/11 season.
Darren is a well credentialled player having played in the sides Premiership win in 2008
as a second. Last season he played a skip.
Wanneroo were a tad unlucky last season losing 4/5 games by a shot or two on the last end of those games
. With the addition of the new signatures it might be just enough to get the Express across the line
The only loss at this stage is Simon Alden but doubt remains with Stein Davies as to whether or not he continues on.
July 30, 2010
Vaughan Colley has joined Stirling for the 2010/11 season. Vaughan played in One Blue North last season with Bedford and helped the Club win promotion to One White, he will be missed at Bedford who will want to consolidate their position in that division.
The shopping trolley as he was known in his Dalkeith days is a pretty handy leader and joins up with former Dalkeith team mates Marko Krajancic and John Morgan.
July 29, 2010
David Von Horn played at the Gingin Bowling club in previous years has signed up to play for Wanneroo this coming season.
Wanneroo will be pretty happy to see a quality player such as David have his name added to the playing list
David has more than proved his ability winning the Doubleview Master Pairs a couple of seasons back with John Fewster and was prominent in the State Triples back in January 2010 when he and the rink went down by two shots to the eventual winners in the semi-final.
Wanneroo have also signed up Wayne Neilson and Jarrad O`Donohoe for the coming season. The addition of David who can play any position will add more grunt to the side and will help to overcome the loss of Simon Alden to Kalamunda, at this stage Simon appears to be the only loss to Wanneroo for the new season.
Full marks to the powers that be at Wanneroo for their continual endeavours to attract quality players to their Club
Maybe this year we will see the real Wanneroo Express rolling down the track
July 26, 2010
FACT
Doubleview latest recruits are Blake Heldt and Robert Bell, both players signed up this week.
Blake Heldt played with the strong One White Kardinya Kats last season This will be Blake Heldt's second stint at Doubleview
while Robert Bell has been an outstanding Junior player and is sure to benefit from the exposure to play along side and with some of the best Premier League players in the business
Blake Heldt a former Junior Rosenthal Medallist has gained a lot of experience
playing in all the positions and could possibly crack a game in the PowerHouse top 16 .
July 21, 2010
FACT
Osborne Pk lose a valuable player, Joe Krstic will be sigining up with Victoria Park for the upcoming season and what a good signature to have on the books. Over the time I have been at Osborne Pk I have noticed what a good player Joe is, his record speaks for itself, a winner of the Club Championship Triples a couple of times, the most recent win he played a blinder as skip for his side against a very tough opponent.
He also pushed gun singles player Daniel Trewhella all the way to force an extra end in the Mt Lawley Consistency Singles in one of his games in recent times to give an indication of his ability.
Opportunities to play Premier League are hard to come by in the powerful OP 16 and so it is off to Vic Park where he might be given the chance he longs for to play in the toughest grade of all.
Victoria Park have recruted quite a few players , it will be interesting to see who makes the side for the opening game
July 20, 2010
One rumour doing the rounds is that concerning Stirling and Rod "Rocket" Heaton. As we are aware Rocket has departed the scene after a 4 year stint at Yokine, it was reported he would be playing at Doubleview this season.
Latest we have heard is the Rocket has been known to have been in a discussion with the Emperor Alan Erceg of the Stirling Bowling Club. It would seem likely an approach was made to
gain the services of the Rocket for the upcoming season.
If the rumour of a possible signing of Rocket heaton was in any way true it would be the biggest recruiting coup of the year.
So far Stirling do not appear to have gained players of any significance to bolster their ranks for their first season back in the Premier League.
One would think that the current 16 at Stirling would remain in the Premier League at the end of next season finishing in the bottom half, just can't at this stage see them make the final four.
July 17, 2010
While Wanneroo say goodbye to Simon Aden they welcome Sorrento player Jarrad O`Donohue to the Club.
Jarrad has played many seasons at Sorrento mainly as a second will be a very handy addition to the Wanneroo Club, whether he can break into the top side first up is a question we can't answer however he is sure make an impression, there is no doubt he is a very good player who has a lot to offer the club
July 17, 2010
Wannero have lost Simon Alden who has joined Kalamunda Tigers. We did flag earlier that Simon was on his way to the Hills club. He lives close to Kalamunda and the move will save a huge amount of travel time for him
It has been mentioned that Simon would be considered to skip a rink and that poses an interesting question, If Simon does get a skippers role who will he replace.
Kalamunda have had an unchanged skippers lineup for around 4 seasons which is an amazing feat in itself.. Neil Payne had 11/6/1 for the season, the other three skips, Neale Griffin, Billy Brandsma and Mitch Biglin finished with 10 wins 8 losses.
Of course there might be no change of skippers and Simon would play as 3rd, a position he played extremely well for Wanneroo.
One way or the other Kalamunda have a pretty handy recruit for the upcoming season
Armadale "Storm" sign 3 top players.
July 1, 2010
The Armadale mens bowling club is in the second year of a four year plan to return to first division bowls and after last years signing of Ken Monkhouse to coordinate their bowling plan are pleased to announce the securing of top line players
Diamond Jim McKenzie and Hugh McKay along with
Kevin McKay, will add talent to Armadale Storms already very talented second division
The signing of these players is a done deal
The Armadale Storm also have a new playing strip on the drawing board
A great move by Armadale to recruit these players who were with Gosnells last season. Hugh McKay had a magnificent record last season where the rink he was in charge of won 11 games straight and played a major role in saving the Kookaburra's from relegation.
As for the Diamond You don't find many bowlers who have such dedication or passion to be involved in the game of Lawn Bowls
in either playing or promoting the sport as he does
His recent form in the Champion of Club Champions showed he still has plenty to offer
and is certain to be a great addition to the Club and play his part in the rise and rise of the Armadale Storm.
Kevin McKay is a young and talented player who will do well in the sport in the years to come
The loss of these players, and we think there might be a couple more to leave will affect Gosnells One Blue Sth playing strength . The club have survived tough times in the past two seasons by just scraping out of the relegation zone. Lets hope they can overcome these player losses
June 28, 2010
Bassendean might have solved one of their problems, that being they were a skip short last season.
It was announced that Victoria Park player Jeff Mitchell has signed up to play for the Lions next season.
Bassendean stalled in their challenge toward the end of the home and away games
after a season of highs and lows in 2009/10, This signature will most certainly enhance the chances of the long awaited arrival of the Bassendean Lions back into the Premier League.
With one rink not firing for them, two players filled the skippers position last season, Craig Greenhalg who started the season off playing skip and was replaced after 10 games in that role by Marcel Heruer who completed the last 9 games . Both are good players who will fit in well in other positions
Jeff Mitchell has shown over the years he is a strong skipper and it was he who took over the skippers job when Russell Hughes was replaced and did it well.
June 22, 2010
Another rumour to surface over the weekend was that concerning former Sth Perth players John Carter and Paul Harris. Both players didn't appear in any of the Sth Perth pennant sides after round 14. We have no idea why this occurred.
The latest is that perhaps both players have or will joined Perth Tatts, a club on the move with the promise of first class facillities
.
John in particular showed out as a skip playing for Yokine two seasons back plus a semi-final appearance in the State Triples. Of course this is only a rumour
but that is what some players are talking about
June 15, 2010
Sorrento player Peter Crow will play at Osborne Park this season so the story goes, Peter at one stage of last season was the leading skip in One Blue North. This will be a very good signing and increase the chances of promotion for Osborne Park who were relegated from One White.
While on Sorrento, John Hammond who has been a top flight skip and a very competitive player for several years will be off to live in Bussleton. This is a big loss for the Swans who have not capitalized on the many opportunities they have had to win promotion over the past 5 years , John Hammond will be very hard player to replace.
June 9, 2010
Sometime back we had heard on the grapevine that the famous Urquhart brothers Robbie and Bruce would be playing at VP.
They both left Morley after about round 8 or 9 last season due to work commitments in the country, it was a huge blow for the club but as always work has to take priority for most players.
We have heard that they could both become Vic Park players this coming season.
I am not sure what position Robbie would get as skipper is his go, while Bruce would be a walk up start to play 3rd for any rink.
If what we have been hearing is on the money then Vic Park who have already built on their list from last season have improved their list further with these two players which will make them all that much harder to beat for the flag
June 7, 2010
A big move could be that of Cameron Tunstall who didnt play pennants last season and last played for DV could become a Stirling player this season. We can't confirm that this rumour is true but that is what is being talked about around the clubs at the moment.

FACT
Morley skipper Wayne Neilson has confirmed an earlier rumour that he would be playing for Wanneroo this season. He has joined Wanneroo because of family reasons but will continue to be the Morley Greenkeeper where he done a great job for them.
No doubt Wayne will be a loss for Morley where he was the best performed skip for them over the past two seasons, however it will be a good gain for Wanneroo as Wayne has often displayed he is a very capable skipper, and sure to add some bite to the Wanneroo 16.
It will also help overcome the possible loss of Simon Alden who we have mentioned that he is Kalamunda bound.
Murray Hulbert also will return to Wanneroo after playing last season for Morley and will be a welcome addition to help bolster the hopes and ambitions of the Wanneroo 16
June 4, 2010 Where will Simon Alden line up this year, some have him pencilled in to stay at Wanneroo, others have indicated the big Fellah was to return to his previous club, Innaloo, however the rumour that might be closest to being on the money is Simon, who loves nothing better than to play in his short pants on a Saturday afternoon will play at the home of the Kalamunda Tigers this season.
What position would he play, 3rd or skip? HHHHmmm the Tigers have had one of the most stable group of skippers over the last 3 or 4 seasons where we have not seen other than Neil Payne, Billy Brandsma, Neale Griffin and Mitch Biglin taking on that role.
It is not often we see Kalamunda picking up good players, the most recent were Steve O'Neil, Scott Walker, Vince Beckley and now possibly the ever improving Simon Alden.
Good performances in major events last season show he is realizing his potential to become a top line player.
He will add some grunt and growl to the Tigers and the role of him calling the shots is not out of the question.
May 28, 2010
It appears that Shawn Donohoe will become a Red next season, well that is the message we have recieved, The young fellah has made the decision.
There will be a lot of interest as to how the Reds will line up next season with three new players coming to the club and the possibility of Daniel Wood who is the new VP green keeper also lining up but it is not certain at this stage he will sign up.
It has been mentioned around the clubs earlier that maybe Jeff Mitchell might be on the move but we have no confirmation if this is likely to happen
Perhaps VP have a couple more irons in the fire to complete their recruiting for the upcoming season.
A long range forecast of how the opening VP 16 could look like
Rooster(sk) C. McNeil, W. Butler, G. Lockett.
R. Butler (sk) D. Wood, A. Haywood, R. Johnson
T. Mitchell(sk) G. Faulkner, H. Lim, G. Quann
AP (sk),B. Kalinowski, S. Donohoe, A. Marsh
It must be remembered that VP almost beat the odds and Mosman Park in the 1st semi-final and they will take plenty from that performance however someone has to drop to make way for the new players.
Players to miss out initially could be Smith, Scott, Cacciopoli, there are three or four second divisions players that also could be considered for the top side
May 24, 2010
Vic Park have been in the news lately via Alan Marsh, Adam Hayward and Shawn Donohoe, Alan Marsh has committed to play for the Reds next season, so far Shawn Donohoe has not. Over the weekend a new name has emerged, that of another Hilton Hawk, Daniel Wood.
Last season it was thought Daniel Wood was a certainty to play for Cockburn after he was given the green keepers job but he instead opted to play for the Hilton Hawks who won promotion to One White
It would be a coup to bring him to the home of the Reds, he can play any position and does it well, if the rumour is true, (it is only a rumour at this stage) skippering would be out of the question as these positions are already filled unless there is movement in the VP camp.
I guess we will have to wait to see what eventuates but if he does play for VP then they are on a winner
May 18, 2010
There is the possibility that Gin Gin bowler David Von Horn may be looking to play in the metro area this upcoming season, David was a member of a side that made it to the semi-final of the State Triples in January and is also and former Masters Pairs winner.
The club mentioned as a potential home is Wanneroo. If this is the case Wanneroo would be well pleased as David has shown he has the capacity to play at the Premier league level.
May 16, 2010
One rumour that has been doing the rounds is the one concerning Rocket Heaton.
The word is he has left Yokine and we can confirm that it is true. Where he will play is not an absolute certainty but they are saying 99% Doubleview will be the club to gain his very talented services.
If that is the case their 16 could look something like this
R. Heaton (sk) K. McIlroy, M. Mitchell, A. Delaporte
D. Rankin (sk), S. Edmonds, L. Thorn, C. Hickman
D. Trewhella (sk), J. O`keefe, C. Slavich,P. Ker
J. Slavich (sk), P. Buller,
R. Barns, K. Screech
Players missing from last seasons lineup would be Denis Katunarich, Robbie Ball, Gary Carberry, Jim Bausor.
May 17, 2010
We have an update regarding Alan Marsh we have heard since he is committed to play for Vic Park this comings season. Marshy himself sent an email to say the Bassendean rumour was not true and confirmed he will be at VP this season.
May 13, 2010
Wanneroo have been featuring as a place to come to or a place to be leaving. One who is rumoured to be leaving is leader Alan Marsh, the word is he will be off to Bassendean. If it turns out to be more than a rumour he will join a former Wanneroo player and State Singles winner Brian Axford who has fitted into the Bassendean setup extremely well and played a major role in the improved performance of the Bassendean One White 16 last season
Alan Marsh broke into the Premier League side as a leader at Wanneroo in round five last season and was able to keep his place in the 16 for the rest of the season.
Alan should be a handy addition to the Bassendean One White side who fell away badly in the last 3 games of the season but still managed to make the final four.
May 10, 2010
Word has been going around the clubs that Wanneroo's very promising young player Shawn Donohoe, was a dead set cert to be in Vic Park colours at the start of the new pennant season.
We have had conflicting reports as to whether it is correct. Shawn has informed us that he is not committed to any club at this stage. So as things now stand the $64 question is where will he play next season
May 6, 2010
Will Robbie Ball line up for another season at Doubleview this coming season is a question I have been asked.
Well the talk is Robbie Ball, an absolute superstar of the game for many years will not be in the famous Blue an Gold Doubleview colours next season.
It was a forgettable year for this very talented player who started the season out as a skip, he relinquished that role late in the season to play 3rd to the Kat.
The overall skippers stat sheet was also unkind to a player of his ability,
showing just 5 wins and 8 losses..
Will he give the game away and persue other interests or will he at last join the Happy Valley Bowling club, a Club he was to have joined 3 seasons ago.
Players of his calibre are hard to find. Tim Murray aptly named him the "Rolls Royce", a better description would be hard to find.
The other intriguing question is
about the big Kat Dennis Katunarich, He also has been a superstar of the sport for such a long time and been such an integral part of the Doubleview success for the past 20 years.
Will he be prepared to travel up from Mandurah where he now resides, to play for the Blue and Gold and if he does play what position would he play in the side.
It has been a forgettable season for him also in regards to his stat sheet. 7 wins from 20 games this season
would have been unthinkable in the past for a player such as the Kat.
Dave Rankin and Scott Edmonds have joined the PowerHouse for next season will put a squeeze on the skippering roles and we can safely assume that Dave Rankin will skip a side along with the possible return of Kyle McIlroy,
tho we are hearing it not set in stone that he is a definite starter for DV and could play somewhere else.
Allowing that Kyle does line up for DV, will Rocket Heaton finally make the move to play for Doubleview. At the end of each season Rocket has a think on what he might do the following season. We did flag last year he would finally move but we were wrong, the Rocket stayed at Yokine.
With State commitments out of the way for Rocket after announcing his retirement from the side, it now allows him more time to concentrates on his young family, it is possible to think he might also downgrade his commitment to play Premier League
Some interesting decisions to made over the coming months, or have they been made already ?
May 5, 2010
These rumours or in some cases fact are ones that have been known for sometime.
Adam Hayward from Hilton Park, Adam played his part in helping the Hilton Hawke's win promotion from One Blue to One White last season and could be quite a valuable player for the Reds who are looking to bolster their front end...
May 5, 2010
Word has been getting around that Doubleview player Gary Carberry will play Sth of the river this season, some reckon he will be returning to Cockburn while others are saying Warnbro could be the lucky Club.
If Gary does make the move to Warnbro, with him in the 16 it will benefit them enormously, a promotion looks very likely.
But as we say these are only rumours and is what is being talked about around the Bowling scene.
May 4, 2010
Speaking with Matt Ellul has clarified what the real position is in regard to our previous posting that he could be leaving to live in Queensland
In regards to Queensland I can tell you that I will be leaving next week to go play pennants with Jindalee which is just out of Brisbane.
At this stage the plan is to come back and play pennants for Mosman park next year, some people have said I am going for good but at this stage I will be back.
May 3, 2010 There have been persistent rumours regarding Justin Coleman whether or not he would be leaving the Osborne Pk Saints.
Justin indicated to the team that he would not be going anywhere and was keen to stay at Osborne Pk for the foreseeable future
May 3, 2010
We have been told that Mosman skipper Matt Ellul could be off to live in sunny Queensland. How soon it will be we don't know.
Matt would be a huge loss to Mosman if he makes the move.
Hopefully we will have further info sometime today
April 30, 2010
Could Manning Eagle, John "San" Francisco be on the move next season ? He was the outstanding performer in One White last season where he topped the One White skipper list with a 13 wins 3 losses and 2 draws + 107 shots agg.
John was given a place playing 3 in the Metro V the Country Allstars as a reward for his efforts and performed very well in a mammoth rink win for the Metro side.
Must commend the State selectors for giving people who have done well, these opportunities to impress on the big stage.
It will be interesting to see what evolves by the start of the new season and who the club might be to gain his services.
But it is only a rumour of course
April 29, 2010
Wanneroo it seems could lose Ted Alden for the upcoming season, Where will Ted play is not as yet confirmed so the story goes. At the end of the day he has done well in his time playing for the Express and would be a good asset if chooses to play at another club.
Morley Skipper Wayne Neilson is more than likely to play for Wanneroo and would be a great recruit to have. He is a pretty solid skipper and with a good side behind him
will do well for Wanneroo.
Another former Roo will return to play for Wanneroo is Murray Hulbert who spent a last season playing for Morley.
April 29, 2010
What are the chances of Ron Stockton returning to play for Cambridge next season. It is only a rumour but some out Cambridge way have a feeling this Yokine Doggie might be returning to play for Cambridge.
The other side of the coin to is there will be at least two Skipper spots up for grabs at Yokine next season and we all know that playing skip is Ron's go
April 29, 2010
WILL IT HAPPEN ?
Talking with Steve Glasson in Adelaide, he stated he might be coming over to play in the Sorrento Master Singles next December.
It would be a great boost to the event if he were to play in it.
Even allowing for the fact he is Mr Bowls here in Australia, a title he well and truly deserves, I wonder how he would fare playing in the notorious Sorrento wind. That wind has destroyed many a dream and broken a few hearts since the event was transferred from Royal Park.
None the less his presence will enhance the profile of the sport and lets hope Glasso comes over
to compete
FACT
April 28, 2010
Osborne Park player Scott Edmonds has joined Doubleview for season 2010/11. He has joined his skipper David Rankin who has an application for membership on the notice board at Doubleview.
Both Players had a huge influence in the success of Osborne Park this season which culminated in a Premiership.
The recruitment of these two players and in particular David Rankin will be a positive for the PowerHouse who looks like replacing skip Dennis Katunarich who returned a poor stat sheet this season and it would seem that the Big Kat's days of playing the last two bowls at Doubleview is over.
Robbie Ball, one of best players to have played the game is another who's role as a skip is under question.
Why both David and Scott have upped stumps and left the Club is not known but it brings to five Osborne Park players which includes Daniel Trewhella, Peter Ker and James Jaworski who have left the Club in the past two seasons.
Other former Osborne Park players to have joined Doubleview have been the 3 members of the Slavich family and Arron Delaporte.
RUMOUR
April 28, 2010 One of the rumours getting around the traps is that concerning Narrogin player Steve O`Neil. His name has been associated with Osborne Park as has the young Warwick player Chris Bowler.
Steve O`Neil has been a terrific country player, played at Kalamunda a couple of seasons ago then returned to the country, he would be a great asset to any bowling Club. But it is only a rumour at this stage.
Young Chris Bowler from Warwick came under notice with a very good display against Rooster Wishart in the State Singles last season, there is most certainly plenty of up side to this young player. But again it is only a rumour at this stage
April 20, 2010
Another rumour to doing the rounds is one concerning Wanneroo's Simon Alden.
Now what we are hearing is the big Roo from Wanneroo could be saying ooohhrroooo to Wanneroo and maybe off to
Innaloo, the club he was at before moving to Wanneroo.
Hard to see that move taking place but that is out there on the grapevine. We have also heard that there two other Premier League clubs that are interested in gaining his services for next season.
Simon is emerging as a very good player and can still get better if his performances in pennants and open events last season are any guide
What are the chances of the big fellah taking up these offers, Hmmmmm they are inviting so we will keep an eye out to see if this rumour bears fruit
April 19, 2010
We Have recieved a request to remove this post on rumours. The post is correct We are always happy to accede to any request. This post will be published at a later date.
April 25, 2010
Since we withdrew the post below Everyone in Perth is now aware that David Rankin has an application for membership to join Doubleview.
It appears that Osborne Pk will lose one of their star players for the upcoming season. It has become common knowledge that David Rankin has an application on the board to join the Doubleview PowerHouse .
This is a huge gain for Doubleview who have gained yet another Osborne Park player. David Rankin has been outstanding in his role as skipper for the Saints over the past two seasons and will most definitely take on that role at Doubleview.
David has played a significant role in his three years at Osborne Pk since his return from New Zealand , he came to the fore late in the season and the finals in particular where he was most certainly was playing his very best bowls for Osborne Pk to help bring them a Premiership
I guess the $64 question is how do you replace a David Rankin. A hard job coming up for the think tank at Osborne Park.
Another rumour floating around the clubs is Scott Edmonds could be also on the move but at this stage is unconfirmed and remains a talking point amongst bowlers
April 14, 2010
The rumour concerning Bedford's Cody Packer that he was to play for Stirling this coming season is wrong, that info came from a good source.
Cody Packer will stay at Bedford this coming season.
April 14, 2010
This is not a rumour, the Yokine Doggies will lose at least five players or more players for the upcoming season.
Russell Hughes who is off to live on the East Coast, Darren Kellond, Rob Bowron, Ian Cartledge all country players return to Bunbury, and maybe Ross Princi
Lee Farrell who did an outstanding job as manager and motivator of the Doggies will be unavailable to play Premier League, Lee has taken up a position working in the mid-west. Hard to find people like Lee who committed himself totally to the Doggies cause
Rod "Rocket" Heaton has also indicated that he has not made up his mind and will arrive at a decision sometime down the track
The future looked bright after a very promising performance this season, The Bunbury boys went particularly well for the Doggies also just missed out winning the State Triples when runner up to Rooster Wishart. They have shown there is a lot of untapped talent in the country.
Russell Hughes finished 3rd on the best performed skippers list and he will be almost irreplaceable
These losses are a huge blow to the Doggies chances of remaining in the Premier League next season.
They had been hit
hard with player loss before the start of the season just finished will have to burn the midnight oil long and hard to find quality replacements to fill the gaps that now exist
April 6, 2010
Latest rumour in the world of Lawn Bowls is Stirling are hot on the trail of Anthony Provost enticing him to join the club in readiness of their first season in the Premier League. It has been some years since Stirling (or the Yugoslav Club as they were known back in those days ) have played in the Premier League, having a player like AP will no doubt enhance Stirling's chances of staying in this division and a spot in the four is starting to look promising.
The other rumour is, it is more than likely Junior champ Cody Packer will sign on the dotted line to play for Stirling.
The young fellah is a quality person and player who will keep on improving
Have Stirling got their eyes on a couple more players ? They look to be in need of one more skip.
Maybe Matt Ellul.....Hmmm.......Maybe Scott Edmonds .....Just me thinking out aloud
Other rumours to be heard, Bassendean Lion Justin Opie on the move to Cambridge but since found to be not happening
April 6, 2010
A rumour that has been doing the rounds recently has involved Daniel Trewhella, Stirling and a ridiculous chunk of change.
Sherro rang “the Emperor”, Alan Erceg about the rumour to see if there was any truth in it.
“It’s not a rumour”, stated the Emperor in no uncertain terms, “it is complete and total stupidity”.
"Not only have I never thought about it but I haven’t even seen Daniel for over a year let alone spoken to him, and the money spoken of is not only absurd but offensive. People must think I am completely brainless. We don’t even pay our Club secretary manager that amount so why would we pay an individual player that amount, as terrific a player as Daniel is".
When we start getting paying crowds of a thousand spectators and more then players may be rewarded better but until then.
This page is about the rumours that we hear from time to time--so please take it as just that --rumours--gossip. I cant say they are right or wrong.
"I hate to spread rumours but what else can you do with them?"

December 10, 2010
FACT
November 8, 2010
Mosman Pk Premier League player Radd Anderson has been snapped up by the very progressive Armadale Bowling Club to play for them this season and also to take over the Green Keeper duties.
This a great signature to have on the books for Armadale who are looking to win promotion to One Blue, Radd played a magnificent game in the second spot in the losing Premier League Grand Final for Mosman Pk, he certainly done all he could in that game to get Mosman across the line.
The Big Whale up that way is a go getter and congrats for being on the ball to get a player of this cailbre to the club Ken.
It will be very hard to break into the Wanneroo Premier League but Wanneroo do have two other 1st divisions sides and one might think he could get a game in one of them
November 1, 2010
Word is buzzing all over the place that Blake Heldt will join the Vic Park Reds, They are after front end players, Blake Heldt has signed to play with DV this season, he is unlikely to get a place in their top side any time soon.
If I were Blake and this opportunity came along I would grab it with both hands.
October 29, 2010
.More good news for Yokine with their latest recruit Dillan Elliot now on the books.
He was best player for W.A in the 2008 sides series when WA did well, that was the last year he represented the State.
We are hearing there might be a couple of Vic Park players who might not play this season after having joined the club earlier this year, it is only rumours at this stage.
FACT
October 20, 2010
Merv Potter has been at North Beach for many years is returning to Cambridge this season. Merv who played in 1 white and was a very successful skipper in First div Blue for many years also won bowler of the year last season.
Brian Werndly won bowler of the year at North Beach in 2007/8 and 2008/9 and has skipped in first div Blue for many years is another who will be transfering and going to the Sorrento Bowling Club. This could be handy for the seaside Club as Sorrento have lost two skippers recently.
FACT
October 19, 2010
The Yokine Doggies have signed up Rick Eddy who played for the Kalamunda Tigers over the past several years.
Another player that may join the club is a ex Victorian top league city based player that has just moved into the area and may just be about to sign on the dotted line No Name at this stage

The loss (at this stage) of Ian Payne combined with the departure of David Rankin and Scott Edmonds has taken everybody by surprise and one that will take a toll on the playing strength of the Saints this season.
More news on the Osborne Pk front is we reported Wayne Coffee was signed sealed and delivered to play for the Saints this coming season, well that it now appears to be no certainty to take place.
There are two other clubs hot on the trail to sign the "Beenz man", Stirling and Victoria Pk are in the mix, who ever gets his signature will get great value from him. We will have to wait and see what developes from here onward

Well known Northam Bowler Keith Strahan will play for Toodyay this coming season. Toodyay has been in the news a lot because of the devastating bush fire that ripped thru the district.
Also they also been in the news in the past six months because one of their local bowlers Ashley Grundy, played in the final of the Champion of Club Champion singles against John Goddard at Yokine.Another who plays in the district is the well known James Jaworski.
Keith, a very experienced bowler has been a bit of a journeyman over his bowling life will be a good addition to Toodyay Club.

This move was bought about by Mark living so very close to the Stirling Club that combined with the traffic problems that seems to be ever growing and getting worse.
Stirling will have some decisions to make in the skippering dept. as that is the position Mark plays best.
It also possible that Cockburn player Sam Perica will also join Stirling tho it is not official at this stage

Mosman Park have two new recruits signed up and ready to go for the new season which is almost upon us
Gary Papadapalous a former Doubleview player with vast experience having played some 350 games of Premier League will play down at Mozzies this coming season, at his best he is a very competitive player and could add some grunt to the front end.
A big loss to Gosnells One Blue Sth no doubt who have lost quite a few players to Armadale.

Luke Richardson is not going to Play for Eaton, The first he heard of it was reading this rumours page Luke got in touch to say it was not so and he has no idea how such a rumour could have been started.
He is very happy where he is and asked me to correct the misinformation.
Ah well, we did get this rumour from a very reliable source who plays down in Bunbury and took it for granted that the info was good.
Originally it was reported that Matt was going to lineup for the Mozzies but there was a change of circumstance regarding employment that will keep him in Queensland.
It looks like Eaton will have a club of State events runner ups playing for them this season (tho I am not sure if they all came from Eaton) because they also have Darren Kellond, Ian Cartledge and Rob Bowron (while playing for Yokine) who were State Triples runner up to Rooster Wishart also back in January this year.
August 19, 2010
Yokine Doggies Leader Wayne Coffee has left the Doggies and joined the Osborne Pk Saints so we have heard.
Wayne "Beenz" Coffee is a talented top class leader who doesn't get beaten in the leaders role often. He is a very likeable and very dedicated player who would get a leaders role in any of the top Premier League Clubs .
Not sure how the message got around that Alan was on his way back to Wanneroo but he told a close source he was staying with VP
Worse was to follow for the Bulls when the player drain continued on following demotion from One White in the next season to One Blue North.
Osborne Park Saints have signed Steve Sloan who last played with the Yokine Doggies in 2008-9, he played as a two for Rocket Heaton however he didn't play in the City last season.
How the rinks line up will be interesting, Simon Alden, Wayne Heldt will either skip or play three while Milan might or might not make the top 16, we will have to wait and see what the go is when the season kicks off .
It is only a rumour, there has been talk going around the clubs that the Kalamunda Tigers, who returned to the Premier League for this coming season might be gaining a Kardy Kat, the rumour is that Wayne Heldt is that player, however we stress that it is only a rumour but that is what is being talked about in the bowling world.
August 2, 2010
More good news for Wanneroo as they sign up another top player.
Darren Turra from the Victorian Club Geelong West Bowling Club has signed up for the 2010/11 season.
Darren is a well credentialled player having played in the sides Premiership win in 2008 as a second. Last season he played a skip.
Wanneroo were a tad unlucky last season losing 4/5 games by a shot or two on the last end of those games .
Blake Heldt played with the strong One White Kardinya Kats last season This will be Blake Heldt's second stint at Doubleview while Robert Bell has been an outstanding Junior player and is sure to benefit from the exposure to play along side and with some of the best Premier League players in the business
Blake Heldt a former Junior Rosenthal Medallist has gained a lot of experience playing in all the positions and could possibly crack a game in the PowerHouse top 16 .

It would seem likely an approach was made to gain the services of the Rocket for the upcoming season.
Diamond Jim McKenzie and Hugh McKay along with Kevin McKay, will add talent to Armadale Storms already very talented second division
As for the Diamond You don't find many bowlers who have such dedication or passion to be involved in the game of Lawn Bowls in either playing or promoting the sport as he does
His recent form in the Champion of Club Champions showed he still has plenty to offer and is certain to be a great addition to the Club and play his part in the rise and rise of the Armadale Storm.
Bassendean stalled in their challenge toward the end of the home and away games after a season of highs and lows in 2009/10, This signature will most certainly enhance the chances of the long awaited arrival of the Bassendean Lions back into the Premier League.
The latest is that perhaps both players have or will joined Perth Tatts, a club on the move with the promise of first class facillities .
John in particular showed out as a skip playing for Yokine two seasons back plus a semi-final appearance in the State Triples. Of course this is only a rumour but that is what some players are talking about
June 15, 2010
June 5, 2010
June 4, 2010
Where will Simon Alden line up this year, some have him pencilled in to stay at Wanneroo, others have indicated the big Fellah was to return to his previous club, Innaloo, however the rumour that might be closest to being on the money is Simon, who loves nothing better than to play in his short pants on a Saturday afternoon will play at the home of the Kalamunda Tigers this season.
Buller, R. Barns, K. Screech
Players missing from last seasons lineup would be Denis Katunarich, Robbie Ball, Gary Carberry, Jim Bausor.

The overall skippers stat sheet was also unkind to a player of his ability, showing just 5 wins and 8 losses..
Will he give the game away and persue other interests or will he at last join the Happy Valley Bowling club, a Club he was to have joined 3 seasons ago.
Players of his calibre are hard to find. Tim Murray aptly named him the "Rolls Royce", a better description would be hard to find.
The other intriguing question is about the big Kat Dennis Katunarich, He also has been a superstar of the sport for such a long time and been such an integral part of the Doubleview success for the past 20 years.
Will he be prepared to travel up from Mandurah where he now resides, to play for the Blue and Gold and if he does play what position would he play in the side.
It has been a forgettable season for him also in regards to his stat sheet. 7 wins from 20 games this season would have been unthinkable in the past for a player such as the Kat.
Dave Rankin and Scott Edmonds have joined the PowerHouse for next season will put a squeeze on the skippering roles and we can safely assume that Dave Rankin will skip a side along with the possible return of Kyle McIlroy, tho we are hearing it not set in stone that he is a definite starter for DV and could play somewhere else.

May 3, 2010
There have been persistent rumours regarding Justin Coleman whether or not he would be leaving the Osborne Pk Saints.

He is a pretty solid skipper and with a good side behind him will do well for Wanneroo.
None the less his presence will enhance the profile of the sport and lets hope Glasso comes over to compete
RUMOUR
April 28, 2010
One of the rumours getting around the traps is that concerning Narrogin player Steve O`Neil.
Now what we are hearing is the big Roo from Wanneroo could be saying ooohhrroooo to Wanneroo and maybe off to Innaloo, the club he was at before moving to Wanneroo.
They had been hit hard with player loss before the start of the season just finished will have to burn the midnight oil long and hard to find quality replacements to fill the gaps that now exist
Sherro took that as a no!!
