Anthony Provost 25 DEF Tony Krajancic 15

With the semi finals completed, both were unfortunetly very one sided games which can happen from time to time. Anthony Provost had defeated Scott Edmonds 25 -13, Scott said that Anthony played too good today, adding that AP was all over the jack and he was unable to match him, and Tony Krajancic had defeated Trystan Smallacombe 25 - 8. The scene was set for a ripper game.

Sherro arrived at 1.15 PM , Anthony Provost playing Tony Krajanic. the score 9-4 in favour of A.P to start the seventh end.
Both players were playing almost full length ends on a green that was very heavy due to the huge amount of rain yesterday and over night. Prior to the rain Sorrento can take a big bow with the standard of the greens they presented for this years Master Singles.

There wasn't much in the game, there was little between both players but A.P was drawing a little better than Tony. The score was 12-8 in favour of AP, he was not short as often as Tony on this 10 second green. The closest Tony Kracker came to AP was on end 16 with the score 15 - 12.

End 15 was killed and Anthony decided he wanted to play the at the other end, Tony K said no he wanted the end played from the end they were playing when the end was killed.
AP replied it was his mat so they would play at the other end. However it was pointed out that Tony K was correct and the end was replayed from the same end.

It was from here on that AP played so well and on long ends mind you, that Tony K had no answer no matter how good he played and the truth of the matter is he would have beaten almost any other player such was the standard he presented, the only thing against his game was he played more short bowls than Anthony, but quite understandable that it happened.

This end is an example of what the standard was like on quite a few occasions, it was was killed by Tony K, tho it doesn't look like there are five bowls in that head, that is how many there are

The game showed that Anthony Provost at his very best is the best, it was a terrific performance on such a slow track, he played either a draw or a drive and that was another feature of his game and that was the only way to play on that speed of green

All in all a class game of bowls, congratulations to Tony Krajancic for his great performance and to Anthony Provost for a highly skillful performance to win his first Sorrento Master Singles
