ANDY PREVIEW ONE BLUE SOUTH CLUBS
ROCKINGHAM
Last season Rockingham was tied up for fourth spot being placed fifth by the smallest of percentage. What does this season hold for the club?
One of the game’s legends in Norm Pascoe returned a great result for his club with 8 wins, a draw and a plus of 73. Norm would still be a walk up start in any Premier league club and obviously the class continues to shine through.
Every year there is clubs “just on the cusp” are they good enough, or will they lose the close ones. Success often comes down to two or three aggregates over the year that the performers win and the wanna bee’s lose.
Not sure whether Rockingham are top four contenders or likely to finish just outside?
Have heard very little about player migration to or from this club and can only hope they have made a gain or two if their ambition is to go one better this season.
Can’t remember the last game I had at Rockingham – so I’m looking forward to my visit this year.
They host Vic Park/Carlisle in round one and I’m tipping a 6/2 win by the visitors – this result will tell us a bit about both clubs and I for one hope the home team get the job done and prove me wrong. I’m not the best judge going around so don’t be too disappointed with my prediction for game one.
Hope your club has a season to be proud of and make the four and the playoffs for promotion – you’ll be close and I will watch your progress with interest.
Keep the beer cold for our visit and the best of British to you all for the coming season.
Go Rockingham
Tarah and good bowling
