The Osborne Park Club Championship Triples final was won by Wings Evans (sk), Maurice Hardy and Jim Duggan, they defeated Dante Mariani (sk), Jimmy Bell and Bruce Weir 22 - 18 in a night final

This was an entertaining game that was not decided till the last end of the contest.
There were several good ends played in the game with all players doing their bit to win the Championship
Wings asked his side to treat the game as a three set game, six ends per set, tho it was not a sets play game, just a 19 end game.
Things went well for Wings and the rink when they won 4 of the first six ends to lead 8-5. Jimmy Bell played a whopper on the 3rd end to hit the front on the 3rd end of the first set.

The second set belonged to Dante Mariani and his rink when they won 4 of the six ends scoring 7 shots to 3 in the second set to lead 11 - 10.

The standard of the bowls was very good up to this stage. Dante Mariani and Bruce Weir were going great guns with Jim Duggan doing a fine job leading.
The last set saw Dante Mariani shoot away and lead 18 - 13 to start the 17th end and looking good with three ends to play.

It was the last time Dante would score again as Wings Evans and his boys hit their straps and picked up 7 shots in the next two ends with some great bowling, Wings Evans was playing in his best form as were his two partners. The 18th end was critical for Dante's side when they dropped a four, Dante missing badly with his both drives. Wings and his rink won the 3rd imaginary set 4 ends to 2

Game on, one end to go 20 - 18 in favour of Wings rink. They won this end to claim the title for 2011.
A well deserved victory to WIngs Maurice and Jim Duggan who all played their part in the win
Commiserations to Dante Mariani, Jimmy and Bruce who did a wonderful job to make it thru a tough two games to play in the final.
We have made a youTUBE video, it is not the best and Sherro is FAR too over exubrant and excited, it was our first try and will learn from that .
